Had this burned on a CD and took forever to re-find this. I never had realized it was a cover of anything and just today heard the original song for the first time... Honestly I can't even listen to the original since I knew yours originally and it's just so good. Your rendition of it is just perfect. Thanks so much for making and uploading this, even though you'll probably not see this.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Haha... Well. Never would have guessed. I'm glad you took the time to re-find it and I hope it lifts your spirits in these weird times.

So, I adore this song but is there any way to get a version that doesn't clip due to capping out the sound? That's the main flaw with this song that keeps it from being top-tier.

Sylux03 responds:

thank you for reminding that I should do revamp of this track. hehe stay tune for more updates!

Honestly, the entire piece is so smooth that when playing it in the background I didn't even notice the heat at 4:25 until I read the description. Your work is always so nice (even remasters like this), and I always perk up a bit when I get an email saying you've released something new.

Thanks so much for all you do.

Bosa responds:

And I always enjoy and appreciate your feedback. I'm very thankful that there are people here like you who support me during the difficult creative processes. You're awesome.

Take care,
Jon

Hey, someone else who uses Famitracker! I've been utterly blocked as far as creativity and motivation goes for it and haven't ever really made super "official" sounding stuff as my page would show, but this does a pretty friggin' good job of giving off an authentic 8-bit feel. Not quite Castlevania, but more along the lines of Shovel Knight I'd say for how it's composed. Great work man, keep it up!

Fretzone responds:

Thanks a lot man :) Shovel Knight and castlevania were my main inspiration for this song so i'm really happy you said that . The song is also on a album that i did back in april. If you like authentic NES Konami style's music, you might enjoy this https://jasonletourneau.bandcamp.com/album/new-powers-ep

Yo dawg, I really like where you're coming from with this piece. You do need to take a few leveling issues into account though. The sound is borderline clipping most of the song and that gives it a really harsh feel despite it needing to have a fuller, pure sound. It sounds as if it's being played on a treble-heavy sound system despite me using good headphones for it. I feel like if you cleaned it up some and re-did balancing then it could be a truly great listen. Keep up the good work man! This gives lots of hope for your future works. I'm giving it a 5 on the side to boost it up because it doesn't deserve to be at only a 2.28 with the effort I hear out of it.

Lot7even responds:

Actually, I did revisit the piece! The revisit is already uploaded, and though it is not perfect, it is much better. Thanks for the great review!

The song's great, but I wish you didn't mess with the vocals so much since I feel they'd sound better with a full on pure sound since they have a great voice. Nice work though and keep it up!

What, was this stolen or something? Why on earth is the score so low? This is a fantastic piece and I absolutely love it.

NickzT responds:

Guess some people just don't appreciate good music lol.. ;)

Anyways, thanks for the feedback man really appreciate it. If u wanna hear more, just give us a follow..

My LORD you outdid yourself with the instrumentation in this one! I want to make a joke about the cowbell being more romantic than the cello, but you've just done so well with this piece. Your mastering, samples used, overall instrumentation, progression, dynamics... Oh my, this is truly wonderful. It's so much more FULL of sound than many of your pieces and I feel this could be one of your best pieces to date! The use of the french horns is magnificent, and after the song ends I'm just CRAVING more from it! Everything from the gentle bass drum rolls to the flute and vocals in the entrance, to the oboe coming in, then the brass. I almost always crave more of that bass drum from its powerful hits, and despite it being toned back, it sounds magnificent because that's exactly how it SHOULD be in a piece such as this. I shudder at the thought of hearing a live performance of this as it would truly be awe-inspiring.

I really hope you keep making magnificent works such as this. They really do make me just feel all happy inside.

Again, thanks as always for sharing with us all!

Great song man! I love the integration of the piano, and I must say the mixing is spot on. I hope you keep up the good work!
